2. What personal data we process and why

  • Contact form. First name, last name, email address and the content of your message. We use this to answer your enquiry and to follow up on it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in handling enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

  • Email and telephone contact. Your name, contact details and the content of our communication. The purpose and legal basis are the same as for the contact form.

  • Client and business relationships. If we work together: contact details, contract details and invoicing information. Legal basis: performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations, such as tax record keeping.

  • Blog comments and member accounts. If you comment on a blog post or create an account to do so: the name, email address and profile details you provide and the content you post. Comments are publicly visible. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

  • Technical and usage data. IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. Our website platform collects this automatically to deliver the site securely, prevent abuse and measure in aggregate how the site is used. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and well-functioning website.

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell personal data.

3. Cookies

This website runs on the Wix platform. Wix places cookies that are necessary for the site to function and to keep it secure. Other cookies, such as functional and analytical cookies, are only used if you agree to them. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party marketing trackers.

When you first visit the site, a consent banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies, or choose per category. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the privacy settings on the site. The banner is provided by Usercentrics. To remember your choice, Usercentrics stores your consent settings in your browser and processes technical data such as your IP address and the date and time of your choice.

Some blog posts contain embedded YouTube videos. When you play a video, YouTube (Google) may place cookies and receive data such as your IP address. Google’s privacy policy applies to that processing.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect how the site works.

4. Who we share your data with

We share personal data only with parties that help us run this website and our business, and only as far as needed:

  • Wix.com Ltd., for website hosting, the contact form, the blog and member functionality.

  • Google, as the provider of our email service.

  • Usercentrics, for the cookie consent banner and the record of your consent choices.

  • Accountants and professional advisers, where this is necessary for our administration.

  • Public authorities, where we are legally required to do so.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Wix and Google may process personal data outside the European Economic Area, including in Israel and the United States. Such transfers take place on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries and correspondence: up to two years after our last contact, unless a business relationship follows.

  • Contract and invoicing records: seven years, as required by Dutch tax law.

  • Blog comments and member accounts: until you delete them or ask us to delete them.

  • Technical and usage data: for the limited period our website platform retains it for security and statistics.

7. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access restricted to those who need it, and the use of established service providers.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your personal data;

  • have incorrect data corrected;

  • have your data erased;

  • restrict or object to the processing of your data;

  • receive your data in a portable format;

  • withdraw consent you have given, at any time.

To exercise these rights, email info@eugenekuipers.com. We respond within one month. We may ask you to verify your identity first.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

9. Links to other websites

This website links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and YouTube. We are not responsible for how those websites handle personal data. Their own privacy policies apply.
